JCDecaux SE has signed an exclusive multi-year advertising contract with Bane NOR to manage advertising assets in Norwegian train stations, including Oslo Central Station.

According to the press release, JCDecaux's revenue for the year 2024 amounts to 3,935.3 million euros, while the revenue for the first half of 2025 is 1,868.3 million euros. The company is a major player in outdoor advertising, claiming a daily audience of 850 million people in more than 80 countries, with 1,091,811 advertising faces worldwide and a presence in 3,894 cities with populations over 10,000.
Exclusive Contract Details with Bane NOR
JCDecaux Norge AS has signed an exclusive contract with Bane NOR for an initial period of four years, with the option to extend for two additional two-year periods, for the management of advertising assets in Norwegian train stations. This partnership, funded by Bane NOR, notably includes Oslo Central Station. The company also collaborates with Sporveien in Oslo for advertising on buses, trams, and subways, enabling it to offer significant audiences to advertisers.
Strategic Importance of Oslo Central Station
According to Jean-Francois Decaux, Chairman of the Executive Board and Co-CEO, Oslo Central Station has become a crucial point for digital advertising campaigns due to a more than 5% increase in passenger numbers during the first six months of the year. JCDecaux also positions itself as a global leader in various sectors of outdoor communication, such as street furniture, transit advertising, and large-format billboards. The group is committed to carbon emission reduction initiatives, validated by the SBTi, and is listed in several extra-financial rankings.
