Medincell's Stock Rebounds Nearly 4% After Previous Day's Drop
The Montpellier-based biotech regains momentum mid-morning, following a sharp drop after the release of its annual financial statements. The stock is among the top performers on the SBF 120 in a positively oriented Paris market. This rebound occurs while technical indicators remain weak.
A Technical Rebound That Does Not Lift the Price Above Moving Averages
Medincell gains 3.81% at €25.58 during the session, after losing nearly 14% the previous day following the announcement of annual results. The stock is among the largest gains on the SBF 120, which is up 0.29%. However, the rebound is still modest compared to the previous day's drop. Over seven days, the performance is still negative at -3.69%, and over a month the stock is down 6.57%. At €25.58, the price remains below its three moving averages: the MM20 at €27.17 (a gap of -5.85%), the MM50 at €25.92, and the MM200 at €25.88, the latter two almost converging just above the price. The RSI at 41 indicates seller fatigue without a clear oversold signal. The support at €24.64, tested the previous day at close, acts as a cushion in this session.
The Annual Accounts Published on Tuesday Still Influence the Case Analysis
Today's rebound does not overshadow the disappointment of the annual accounts for 2025/2026 published on June 16. While Uzedy's royalties jumped by 42% to €9.3 million, the net loss widened by 70% to €31.3 million, due to an acceleration in R&D spending and the absence of comparable non-recurring revenues from the previous year. The management highlights a strengthened cash position following the March 2026 fundraising. During this June 16 release, the company reaffirmed the commercial launch horizon for Olanzapine LAI in Q4 2026, a candidate whose file was accepted by the EMA in May and which represents the main lever for future royalty growth. The stock trajectory remains largely positive over long horizons: +21.93% over three months and nearly 70% over a year. The reconquest of the zone between €25.88 and €27.17, where the three moving averages cluster, will be the next observable chart milestone.
