Medincell Stock Plummets 13.5% Following Financial Report
The biotech company from Montpellier opens the session with heavy penalties. The stock collapses as the annual results show a significant deepening of net losses despite the increase in Uzedy royalties.
Sharp Decline in Medincell Stock at Market Open
Medincell shares tumbled by 13.42% to €24.26 at the opening, down from €28.02 the previous day. The stock was the worst performer in the SBF 120, far ahead of the second-largest drop (Worldline, -3.88%), while the broader index hovered around equilibrium. The drop came after the financial results for 2025/2026 were revealed on June 16. Although Uzedy royalties jumped by 42% to €9.3 million, confirming a pivot towards recurring revenues, the net loss widened by 70% to €31.3 million, from €18.4 million a year earlier. The market was particularly concerned about the acceleration in R&D spending and the absence of non-recurring revenues that had supported the previous year. During this announcement, the company confirmed its target to commercially launch olanzapine LAI in the fourth quarter of 2026, a timeline that extends the monetization horizon of the pipeline.
Stock Breaks Through Moving Averages and Erases Part of the Year's Rally
The plunge pushed the stock price below its three moving averages in a single movement. At €24.26, the stock is now below the MM20 (€27.29, a gap of -11.10%), the MM50 (€25.86, -6.19%), and the MM200 (€25.84, -6.11%), a situation the stock has not seen since spring. The support threshold identified at €25.78 is decisively broken, with the price now settling €1.52 below this zone. The RSI at 57 does not yet reflect today's session and is expected to shift to lower levels after incorporating the bearish gap. Despite the shock, the annual performance remains positive at +56.62%, but the monthly decline has reached -11.40%, erasing part of the gains made since the start of the year. The next concrete milestone for investors: the commercial launch of olanzapine LAI scheduled for Q4 2026, identified as the main revenue catalyst in yesterday's publication.
