The H225M helicopters destined for the Royal Moroccan Air Force will be equipped with a dual hoist installation, a searchlight, and a Safran Euroflir 410 electro-optical system. They will have the capability to carry machine guns and will feature an electronic warfare system for self-protection.
Airbus's Long-standing Presence and Future Plans in Morocco
Airbus has been established in Morocco since 1951 through its subsidiary Airbus Atlantic. In 2024, Airbus Helicopters announced the establishment of a client center in the Kingdom, aimed at supporting the 60 Airbus helicopters in service in the Moroccan military and public forces. This center will evolve into a maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facility and will become the regional center for Airbus helicopters in West Africa.
