Nexans: €500 million bond issue at 4.25% to refinance Republic Wire acquisition
The Courbevoie-based group raised 500 million euros on the bond market to replace the bridge loan contracted to finance the purchase of Republic Wire. The transaction is part of the group's strategy, positioning itself as a specialized player in electrification.
A €500 million bond issue with a five-year maturity
Nexans announced on September 9, 2026 the successful completion of a bond issue with a total nominal amount of 500 million euros, with a maturity of five years and an annual interest rate of 4.25%. The funds raised will be used to refinance the 500 million euro bridge loan concluded with BNP Paribas and Société Générale on April 27, 2026.
This bridge loan had been put in place to finance the acquisition of Republic Wire, completed in June 2026. The bonds are rated BB+ by Standard & Poor's and admitted to trading on the regulated market of Euronext in Paris.
