According to a press release from Omer-Decugis & Cie, the group has finalized the purchase of the entire capital of Vergers du Bandama, an Ivorian company engaged in the cultivation, packaging, and export of mangoes. Located in Sinématiali, in the Poro region, this company exported over 1,500 tonnes of mangoes to European and French markets in 2025. Since its establishment in 2010, Vergers du Bandama has been distinguished by its international certifications ensuring responsible agricultural and packaging practices.
Strategic Enhancement in the African Mango Market
According to Vincent Omer-Decugis, CEO of Omer-Decugis & Cie, the acquisition of Vergers du Bandama aims to strengthen the group's positioning in the African mango market and is part of its strategy to control the value chain in West Africa. Omer-Decugis & Cie, through its subsidiary SIIM, is already a major player in the export of mangoes in West Africa, holding an estimated market share of 30% for volumes exported to Europe during the March to July season. In 2025, the group shipped more than 13,000 tonnes of mangoes by sea and 500 tonnes by air.

To ensure a smooth transition, the former shareholders of Vergers du Bandama will accompany the company during the next two years.
