Philips Unveils Its Connected Health AI Platform at HIMSS26 in Las Vegas
On Tuesday, Royal Philips introduced its strategic approach based on open and interoperable platforms that connect continuous patient monitoring with diagnostic data. The company is showcasing this direction at the HIMSS26 conference in Las Vegas.
Strategic Directions and Offerings
Royal Philips is structuring its offerings around two main directions. First, 'enterprise patient monitoring', which aims to create a continuity of physiological data throughout the entire care journey, from acute settings to post-acute contexts and after hospital discharge. Second, the 'Integrated Diagnostics' initiative, designed to unify access to diagnostic imaging data from distinct specialties—radiology, cardiology, pathology—within a single cloud platform. This approach is based on the integration of medical devices, monitoring systems, imaging platforms, and hospital information systems, including electronic medical records and third-party technologies.
Platform Strategy Emphasizes Cybersecurity and Ethical AI
Philips emphasizes that its platform strategy places cybersecurity, privacy, and responsible AI practices at the core of its framework. The company asserts that trust is a fundamental element that enables data flow within the enterprise, supports a longitudinal understanding of the patient, and facilitates the deployment of AI to enhance clinical decision-making while reducing unnecessary complexity.
