Proximus Signs Strategic Partnership for Cybersecurity in Wallonia
Proximus and the Public Service of Wallonia have signed a partnership agreement aimed at enhancing the digital skills and cybersecurity of Walloon citizens. This initiative is part of the Wallonian Government's Digital Wallonia strategy.
Objectives of the Partnership
The partnership agreement between Proximus and the Public Service of Wallonia has two main objectives: to strengthen the skills of facilitators at Public Digital Spaces in cybersecurity through a series of dedicated training sessions, and to raise awareness among citizens about the importance of online security through sessions held in these same spaces. This partnership aligns with the dynamics of the Digital Wallonia digital strategy, for which cybersecurity and digital skills are major priorities of the Walloon Government.
Details of the Signing Ceremony
The signing of the agreement will take place on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, in Liège, in the presence of Raphaël De Beys, Director of Proximus Ada, and Lionel Bonjean, Director General of SPW Economy Employment Research. This date will also mark the presentation of the 2025 Digital Maturity Barometer for Walloon citizens, which assesses, among other things, Walloons' proficiency in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and personal data management. The first training session for the Public Digital Spaces of the Province of Liège will be held on the same day.
