Proximus Raises Its Global EBITDA and Group Free Cash Flow Guidance for 2026
The Belgian operator reported, for the third quarter, a performance it describes as "resilient" in its domestic segment. Its international division, Global, for its part, returned to direct margin growth.
Global EBITDA and Group Free Cash Flow Guidance Raised
The Proximus Group raised two of its full-year forecasts on 30 October 2026. The first concerns the EBITDA of the Global segment, the second the group's free cash flow.
The announcement appears in the third-quarter publication, released in Brussels at 7 a.m. local time, as regulated information.
The two revisions do not cover the same scope. EBITDA measures operating performance before depreciation and amortisation, and the raised forecast applies here only to the Global division.
Free cash flow, by contrast, is revised on a consolidated basis. Organic free cash flow measures the group's cash flows after investments, excluding the effects of asset disposals and mergers and acquisitions, and covers both domestic and international activities.
This breakdown shapes how the publication should be read. The revision is not limited to an operational target specific to one division: it extends to a cash aggregate that covers all of the operator's activities.
For a shareholder, the distinction matters. A segment EBITDA forecast indicates the performance of one business, whereas the consolidated free cash flow target concerns the resources available to the group as a whole.
Global Returns to Direct Margin Growth
The Global segment brings together Proximus's international digital communications activities, carried out notably through BICS, Telesign and Route Mobile. According to the group, its direct margin returned to growth in the third quarter.
The wording used by the operator marks a return to progression for this indicator, which had not shown any growth in the previous period.
This return to growth and the upward revision of the annual EBITDA forecast for the same division are both included in this publication. For Global, the two elements point in the same direction: the trend observed during the quarter is accompanied by an annual target revised upward.
Offer Adjustments on the Belgian Market Since October
In its domestic market, Proximus described its third-quarter performance as "resilient". This segment covers fixed, mobile and ICT services activities in the Benelux, under the Proximus, Scarlet and Mobile Vikings brands.
Since the beginning of October, the group has made two offer adjustments. On 1 October 2026, its subsidiary Scarlet increased the data volume and talk time of its mobile plans, without any change in price.
In a press release dated 8 October 2026, Proximus then announced that, starting 1 November, the speeds of several of its fibre subscriptions would be increased, for both downloads and uploads.
