Orange stock rebounds above its 20-day moving average following solid Q3 results
The telecommunications operator's share price recovers during trading, in a well-oriented CAC 40, a few days after the publication of its third-quarter results. It remains well below its spring levels.
Q3 growth, raised guidance and a dividend of €0.79 targeted for 2026
The Orange share gains 0.83% to €14.34, while the CAC 40 advances 0.89%. This increase follows the publication of October 27th: in the third quarter, the group's EBITDAaL grew 4.6% on a comparable basis, faster than revenue (+3.6%), while investments fell 2.5%. Operating cash flow (EBITDAaL minus eCAPEX) surged 10.3% for the quarter.
Orange has raised its annual EBITDAaL guidance and plans a dividend of €0.79 per share for 2026, versus €0.75 for 2025.
Regarding analyst opinions, CIC Market Solutions, on a buy rating, maintains its price target at €17, or approximately 18% above the current price, while Barclays, on market weight, raises it from €14.50 to €15.
A recovery above the 20-day moving average that does not offset a 16% decline over three months
The share rebounds above its 20-day moving average (€14.16, a spread of 1.29%), after weeks spent below it. The rebound is real but the road remains long: the 50-day moving average is at €14.74, or 2.7% higher, and the 200-day moving average at €16.50, 13.1% above the current price.
Over three months, the share is still down 16.5%, while it gains 1.7% over the week, a gain that only partially mitigates this decline.
European operators are moving in the same direction today: Deutsche Telekom gains 2.47% in Frankfurt, Telefónica 0.88% in Madrid. Beyond the 50-day moving average, the next identified threshold is resistance at €15.96.
