Rexel Increases Quarterly Sales by 3% on a Constant-Day Basis
Rexel reported growth in its third-quarter 2025 sales, with a 3% increase on a constant-day basis, driven by its activities in North America.
Stable Revenue with Notable Adjustments
In the third quarter of 2025, Rexel recorded a revenue of 4,758 million euros, stable in published variation at (-0.1)%, but up by 3% on a constant-day basis. This growth is supported by a volume increase of 1.6% and a price effect of 0.9% for non-cable products and 0.5% for cable products. Despite a negative calendar effect of (-0.3)%, the scope effect was positive at 0.5%, thanks to acquisitions such as Warshauer, Itesa, and others, offset by the divestment of activities in Finland and New Zealand. However, a negative currency effect of (-3.3%), due to the depreciation of the American and Canadian dollars, impacted the results.
Advancing the 'Axelerate 2028' Strategy
Rexel continues its 'Axelerate 2028' strategy, aiming to increase its digital penetration, with a rise of 136 basis points in its digital sales in the third quarter, now representing 33% of the revenue. In September, the company sold its Finnish operations and issued a senior bond of 400 million euros maturing in 2030. It also allocated 50 million euros to share buybacks since the beginning of the year. Rexel is focusing on growing sectors such as data centers and high-speed infrastructure, particularly in North America, with the opening of a new distribution center in Reno, Nevada.
Regional Performance Variances
In North America, Rexel recorded a 7.4% increase in sales on a constant-day basis, supported by the dynamic segments of data centers and high-speed infrastructure. Europe, although still down by (-0.5)% on a constant-day basis, shows sequential improvement, particularly in France and the Benelux. In Asia-Pacific, sales decreased by (-0.5)% on a constant-day basis, with an improvement in Australia. For the full year 2025, Rexel anticipates a slightly positive growth in constant-day sales, an adjusted EBITA margin of around 6%, and a free cash-flow conversion of about 65%, excluding the fine from the French Competition Authority.
