Soitec Stock Rebounds by 3% but Still Down Nearly 27% Over a Month
The Isère-based semiconductor substrate specialist is regaining momentum at the opening, in a Parisian market that is otherwise trending downward. The stock is attempting to stabilize after a challenging month marked by a series of analyst revisions and significant intraday volatility. The session is part of a semiconductor sector that is regaining ground in Europe.
Soitec Rebounds by 3% to €122.15, Among the Top Gainers in the SBF 120
Soitec stock gains 3.08% to €122.15 at the opening, while the SBF 120 loses 0.26% and the CAC 40 declines by the same margin. The stock is among the top gainers of the broad index, preceded by LISI and just ahead of STMicroelectronics, which also rises by 2.2%. However, this rebound does not change the recent tone: the stock is still down nearly 11% for the week and has lost 26.7% over the month, after a series of highly volatile sessions. The contrast with the underlying trajectory remains dramatic, with performance exceeding 136% over three months and 179% over a year, following the spring surge.
Stock Remains 17% Below Its MM20, RSI at 42 Indicates Correction Exhaustion
The rebound occurs while the stock is still trading below its short-term moving averages: at €122.15, the price is approximately 17% below the MM20 (€147.58) and 9% below the MM50 (€134.48), which measures the extent of the consolidation since the peak at the end of May. The RSI at 42 remains neutral, with no clear oversold signal, while the support identified at €116.50 frames the current trading zone from below. The session takes place in a more supportive sector environment, after months where caution prevailed over substrates and automotive.
At the annual accounts publication for 2026 (on May 27), the company had pointed out sustained demand in the AI market and increasing adoption of Photonics-SOI solutions for data centers, while also noting the risks of volume pressure due to inventory corrections among its clients. The reconquest of the MM50 at €134.48 remains the next technical milestone to confirm the recovery.
