Stellantis stock bounces slightly after yesterday's decline linked to temporary halt of 3 plants
A modest but visible rebound for Stellantis on Wednesday, as CIC Market Solutions lowers its price target on the multi-brand automaker (Peugeot, Fiat, Jeep) while maintaining its rating. The increase comes after a session marked by the announcement of temporary production halts at three French plants in October.
A rebound of 1.33% in a nearly stable CAC 40, supported by yesterday's context
Stellantis gains 1.33% to €3.96 in trading, ranking among the strongest gainers in the CAC 40 while the Paris index trades in quasi-flat territory (-0.04%). This surge follows Tuesday's session, during which the temporary production halts announced for the Sochaux, Rennes and Mulhouse sites in October had weighed on the stock. However, the price remains under severe underlying pressure: -15.51% over one month and -50.46% over one year, a trajectory that makes it one of the most tested values in the CAC 40 over the past twelve months. Renault, the only available comparable, is also progressing slightly, at +0.35% in trading.
CIC lowers its target to €4.50 and a technical configuration that remains degraded
CIC Market Solutions lowered its price target on the stock on Wednesday, moving from €5.50 to €4.50, while maintaining its rating of "hold". This new target implies an upside potential of approximately 14% compared to the current price, but it also reflects a significant downward revision of expectations for the stock. On the indicators front, the RSI at 32 is approaching the oversold zone without yet reaching it clearly, while the price is trading well below its three moving averages: the 20-day MA at €4.39, the 50-day MA at €4.63 and the 200-day MA at €6.27 form a technical wall more than 9%, 14% and 37% above the current price. The support at €3.90 remains the immediate threshold to monitor, just a few cents below the current level.
