Stellantis stock breaks through its €3.83 support level and records a five-year low
The multi-brand automaker is declining further in a lower CAC 40. The security is continuing a movement that began several weeks ago and is moving further away from last year's levels.
The €3.83 support gives way during the session, well below moving averages
The Stellantis share loses 2.01% to €3.77 in mid-afternoon. The security broke through its €3.83 support level during the session, already pierced on Monday, and remains below it. It is also below its 20-day moving average (gap of 5.16%) and below its 200-day moving average (gap of 35.70%), a sign of a downward trend established for months. The decline is clear over three months, with a drop of 25.76%, and over one year, with a fall of 57.63%.
In a CAC 40 down 0.67%, Stellantis ranks among the steepest declines in the index. The decline occurs in a context marked by Franco-German proposals to ease CO2 targets from October 17. Renault, the only comparable followed, is nearly stable (-0.04%) and shows +5.29% over three months, while Stellantis loses nearly 26%.
Third-quarter sales and half-year results shed light on the decline
On October 13, the group announced 1.3 million vehicles invoiced in the third quarter, down 1% year-on-year. This volume estimate precedes the quarterly results. When publishing the first half of 2026 results on July 30, the Pro One division had highlighted a 7% increase in its activity, but also margins weighed down by the alignment of electric van prices with diesel prices. On valuation, according to the consensus of surveyed analysts, the security is trading at approximately 7.1 times current fiscal year earnings and 3.6 times next fiscal year earnings. From a technical standpoint, the next reference point is the €4.68 resistance level, far removed from the current price.
