Streamwide Deploys Critical Communications Platform in the Philippines
French critical communications specialist has been selected by UPCAD Philippines to equip the country's emergency services. The platform will be integrated into the national 911 call centers.
Implementation of the Critical Communications Platform
According to the press release published this Tuesday, Streamwide will provide UPCAD Philippines with a critical communications platform designed for first responder emergency services. This solution will be directly integrated into the national 911 call centers, enabling real-time sharing of critical data such as caller location, incident details, and status of the interventions for teams in the field and command centers. The company indicates that the platform also integrates digital processes through APIs, facilitating the flow of information within a single system. This automates the creation of incident management processes, task assignment, progress tracking, and real-time information feedback.
Beyond Traditional Radio Systems
Unlike traditional PMR and LMR radio systems limited to voice, the proposed solution offers regulators, response teams, and supervisors a shared operational view, according to the group. This approach is based on incident history, automated reports, standardized operational procedures, and real-time visibility. Detailed features in the release include highly available and redundant voice and data communications, secure and encrypted channels, real-time geolocation, and situation updates. The architecture is described as scalable, capable of supporting emergency networks at local, regional, or national levels. The platform ensures continuity from emergency call handling to field operations, allowing operators and response teams to collaborate within a unified system that supports voice, data, and multimedia communications.
Strategic Partnership and Expansion in Asia-Pacific
Pascal Beglin, CEO of Streamwide, stated that this partnership with a major public safety authority in the Philippines reflects the trust placed in the group's solutions and their maturity for emergency services. He mentioned that Streamwide's selection by UPCAD marks a key step in the company's development in Asia-Pacific and confirms its ability to deploy large-scale secure and resilient critical services. Rob Llaguno, country director and project director of the unified national 911 program, emphasized that this strategic project would unify communications between police forces, fire services, and other 911 emergency services, while ensuring communication continuity during disasters and national events. With 20 years in the critical communications market, Streamwide develops Team on mission and Team on the run software solutions for governments and businesses.
