Highway traffic down 1.8% in July

According to Vinci's statement, traffic on Vinci Autoroutes' interurban networks declined by 1.8% in July 2026 compared to July 2025. Light vehicle traffic fell by 1.9%, while heavy goods vehicle traffic declined by 0.9%.

The group indicates that the decline in light vehicle traffic continues to be affected by the rise in fuel prices that occurred in March and by the effects of heat waves. However, Vinci notes that this decline was mitigated by a favorable calendar effect, with the summer holiday exodus beginning on July 31 compared to August 1 the previous year.

Over the first seven months of the year, Vinci Autoroutes traffic is down 2.7%, with a decline of 3.4% for light vehicles and an increase of 1.2% for heavy goods vehicles.

Airports: traffic up 0.4%, mixed performance

According to data published by Vinci, Vinci Airports' passenger traffic increased by 0.4% in July 2026. The group reported mixed performance across platforms.

High traffic levels were recorded notably in Portugal (+2.1%), Serbia (+6.2%), Hungary (+16%), Mexico (+3.7%) and the Dominican Republic (+5.9%), as well as in Edinburgh. These increases offset declines observed elsewhere, particularly at London Gatwick and in Japan (-6.4%). Traffic in the United States fell by 14% and in Cambodia by 20%.

Over seven months, Vinci Airports' passenger traffic is up 0.1%. Commercial aircraft movements (ATM) declined by 0.2% in July and by 1.5% over the cumulative period.
