Bouygues shares at the bottom of the CAC 40, down 14% over the quarter
The construction, telecoms and media group is losing ground after a session marked by the release of its results. The decline comes against a markedly weaker Parisian market, following the sharp correction in technology stocks on Wall Street.
A 2.72% decline pushes the stock below its 50-day moving average at €42.25
Bouygues fell 2.72% to €41.92 intraday, slightly more than the CAC 40, which lost 1.43%.
The stock was among the largest decliners in the index. It thus slipped back below its 50-day moving average (MM50), at €42.25 (a gap of 0.78%), while it remains above its 20-day moving average (MM20) at €41.01.
Support at €40.14 is a little over 4% below the current price. Vinci (-1.42%) and Eiffage (-0.99%) also declined in Paris, but to a lesser extent.
The session was dominated by the fall of US indices on Thursday: the Nasdaq lost 5.52% and the S&P 500 4.36% at the close, while the Nikkei shed 5.96% this morning and the VIX stands at 26.41.

The group published its results for the first nine months of 2026 on Thursday. Recurring operating income from activities rose by €44 million to €1,858 million, while net income attributable to the group fell by €369 million to €306 million, due to a €569 million impairment of the stake in TF1. Excluding this item, net income attributable to the group rose by €200 million to €875 million.
Bouygues now targets a slight increase in its recurring operating income in 2026, whereas it had previously aimed to maintain it at a historically high level. With this release, the group also reported net debt reduced by €2 billion over one year, to €5.6 billion, and high order books at Equans and in construction.
Over the month, the stock is still up 3.12%, but it remains down 14.12% over three months, about 12% below its 200-day moving average (MM200) of €47.54.
