Vinci shares cross their 50-day moving average and target resistance at €111.30
The concessions, energy and construction group recovers mid-session in a Paris market clearly trending higher. The rebound comes after a difficult quarter and a few days before a new update on its share buyback programmes.
A rebound that widens the gap to short-term moving averages
Vinci shares rose 1.93% to €110.90, while the CAC 40 gained 1.52% and the SBF 120 advanced 1.48%.
The stock is trading above its 20-day moving average (€107.56, a gap of +3.11%) and its 50-day moving average (€108.99, a gap of +1.75%), but remains below its 200-day moving average (€121.62, a gap of -8.82%). The resistance level at €111.30 is now 0.4% away from the price.
Over the week, the gain reached 2.07%, compared with 3.84% over one month, but the stock still fell 10.35% over three months, excluding the dividend detachment. The €1.10 dividend was detached on 13 October, which explains part of the gap between gross and adjusted prices over this period.
Among construction stocks, Eiffage rose 1.56% and Bouygues 2.19%. Within the CAC 40, Vinci ranks mid-table on the day, well behind the banks.
A €75.4 billion order book and a share buyback already well advanced
When publishing its first nine months of 2026 on 22 October, Vinci confirmed its outlook for the year, with an order book of €75.4 billion, equivalent to fourteen months of average activity, and net cash of €14.7 billion.
Risks cited in this document include a possible increase in the tax on infrastructure operations, estimated at €450 million in 2026, as well as a 3.3% decline in traffic on Vinci Autoroutes.
On the shareholder side, the group launched a €270 million buyback programme on 1 October, executed at around 57% as of 30 October. On the analyst side, Intesa Sanpaolo lowered its target on 2 November from €159 to €151, while maintaining a buy rating.
The target thus set implies potential of around 28% relative to the current price. The full consensus can be viewed on the analyst opinions page for the stock.
