Vinci Shares Bounce 2.5%, Boosted by Brent's Fall
The stock of the concessions and construction group benefits from the general rebound of the Parisian stock market in mid-afternoon. The decline in Brent, following the announcement of a ceasefire agreement between Washington and Tehran, breathes new life into stocks sensitive to energy costs. The movement is part of a favorable sector context, with other major construction companies also in the green.
Vinci Benefits from the CAC 40 Rebound and Easing Oil Prices
Vinci's stock gains 2.38% at €128.90 during the session, while the CAC 40 is up 1.15% at 8,446.89 points. The stock follows the trend of a Parisian market buoyed by the announcement of an American-Iranian framework agreement extending the ceasefire and planning the gradual reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. Brent falls 3.48% in the session to $84.29 a barrel, a decline of 11.4% over nine sessions.
The energy easing mechanically lightens the fuel bill of the group, exposed through its public works and highway concessions activities. Eiffage and Bouygues, its construction sector peers, are up 2.29% and 0.87% respectively. The stock's weekly performance reaches 3.74%, while the annual gain remains at 3.41%.
Price Moves Above Its Three Key Moving Averages
Today's rebound brings the price above the MM20 (€123.83), MM50 (€128.23), and MM200 (€123.78), with a gap of about 4% over the MM20 and MM200. This configuration marks a return to bullish territory across several timeframes, after a consolidation phase that saw the stock test its long-term moving average in mid-May. The RSI at 52 remains neutral, leaving room before any overheating signal.
The technical resistance identified at €133.50 is the next graphical reference, with the reference support at €121.70. Beyond the session's context, the group finalized at the end of May the acquisition of Fletcher Construction in New Zealand and acquired the Canadian Modern Group of Companies, two operations that strengthen its international network.
