VINCI Shares Fall to €125.55, Reaching Key Technical Support
VINCI stock is among the biggest losers in the CAC 40 this Wednesday afternoon, priced at €125.55. The concessions and construction group has erased its early month gains and is now back at its technical support level. The Paris index itself has fallen by 0.37%.
A Slide that Brings the Stock Back to Its Support at €125.80
VINCI shares have dropped 1.91% to €125.55 during the session, ranking 39th out of 40 on the CAC 40, just ahead of Danone (-2.01%). The decline partially erases the rebound from May 6, when the stock had gained 3.68% to €133.80 amid easing oil tensions. The price has returned to the support level at €125.80, which was previously tested at the end of April when the stock approached €123.95. The stock has fallen below its 20-day and 50-day moving averages, located at €130.91 and €130.80 respectively, representing a gap of about 4% above the current price. The RSI at 44 remains neutral and does not send an extreme signal. Over the week, the decline reaches 2.71%, and over three months 6.31%. The session context remains challenging for European cyclical stocks: Brent has risen to $106.46 amid tensions around the Strait of Hormuz, reviving caution on the Parisian market.
Record Order Book and Busy Financial Calendar
The fundamentals are supported by a record order book. During the first quarter of 2026 report on April 24, the group posted €74.9 billion in new orders, with stable revenue at €16.3 billion and a limited organic decline of 0.5%. Recent contracts contribute to this momentum: €200 million in New Zealand for road maintenance, €364 million in the Czech Republic for the final section of the D11, and €192 million in Guinea for electrical infrastructure signed by VINCI Energies. However, the French construction sector remains weak: according to the latest Eurostat and INSEE data, the construction climate is at -18, order books at -33, and production has fallen by 3.5% over the year. European air traffic remains better oriented, with a 4.6% increase in passengers in January 2026 according to ACI Europe, beneficial for the airport concessions business. The next key event: the publication of the first half of 2026 results, scheduled for July 29.
