Winamp Group has announced the names of three artists selected for the first edition of its Winamp Creators Program. The initiative received over 4,000 applications from 110 countries, according to the company.
Selection Process and Artist Profiles
According to the press release, the program received more than 4,000 applications from 110 countries. After a selection process, a final list of 20 projects was established, before Winamp's music committee selected three artists: Louve, a French singer-songwriter; Sorvina, an American rapper based in Berlin; and Bleu Nuage, a Swiss electronic music producer. The three winners represent France, the United States, and Switzerland respectively, and span diverse musical genres from pop to electronic and hip-hop. Each artist was chosen based on their artistic vision and ambition, the company indicates. This program demonstrates the group's intent to expand its support for independent artists internationally, in addition to its Winamp for Creators distribution platform.
Support and Development Program
From January 15 to June 15, 2026, the three artists will receive dedicated support to develop their next major musical project, whether it be an EP, a mixtape, or an album, according to the group. Each artist will receive 3,000 euros per month to fund their creative process, totaling 15,000 euros over the period. Concurrently, Winamp will provide mentoring and strategic advice through its network of music industry experts. The artists' releases will be distributed via the Winamp for Creators platform, which offers tools such as Fanzone and a new website creator designed to enhance engagement and monetization with their audiences. The company states that the goal is to help emerging talents transform their creative vision into a sustainable career.
