4.5% loss in one week: Rexel share declines further during trading session
The electrical equipment distributor loses ground in late afternoon trading, in a Paris market clearly oriented downward. The stock falls below all of its medium-term benchmarks, at the end of a week marked by financing operations. A brokerage firm has just raised its price target on the security.
A stock below its three moving averages, in a declining market
Rexel declines 2.28% to €34.71 in late afternoon, while the CAC 40 loses 1.41% and the SBF 120 1.38%. The stock is below its moving averages: the 20-day MA at €35.94 is 3.42% above the price, the 50-day MA at €36.25 is 4.25% above, while the 200-day MA at €36.07 is 3.77% above. The support level at €34.20 is approaching, at approximately 1.5% from the price, and the RSI at 48 remains neutral.
Over the week, the decline reaches 4.56%, a fall that extends the pressure observed since the announcement of the GCG acquisition on September 25 followed by a capital increase of approximately 500 million euros. In the SBF 120 ranking, the stock is positioned in the lower part of the table with a decline of 2.28%, more pronounced than that of the index (-1.38%). The group also raised its 2026 targets during the publication of the half-yearly results on July 27, guidance that recent operations have not called into question.
