ABL Diagnostics Submits Takeover Bid for Texcell Amid Bankruptcy Proceedings
On Tuesday, June 9, ABL Diagnostics submitted a takeover offer to the Evry Commercial Court to acquire the business and assets of Texcell, a company specializing in viral safety testing and immunology services. This move is part of the molecular diagnostics group's external growth strategy.
ABL Diagnostics (Euronext: ABLD) has submitted its offer under Article L. 642-1 of the French Commercial Code, as part of the bankruptcy proceedings involving Texcell before the Evry Commercial Court. The acquisition is subject to the court's approval and the outcome of ongoing insolvency proceedings. At this stage, there is no certainty about the outcome of these proceedings. The group, based in Woippy, Moselle and specializing in molecular diagnostic solutions and clinical sample management, is thus looking to explore external growth opportunities that complement its current portfolio.
