Airbus Defence and Space Signs Strategic Agreement with Brave1 in Ukraine
Airbus Defence and Space has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Brave1, the central government platform for technological defense coordination in Ukraine. This partnership marks Brave1's first industrial strategic agreement with a Western company and establishes joint working teams to accelerate the development of defense technologies.
Innovative Partnership between Aeronautical Defense and Ukrainian Technological Ecosystem
The memorandum of understanding connects Airbus Defence and Space with Brave1, which functions as an innovation platform bringing together ministries, armed forces, and the Ukrainian private technology sector. Brave1 acts as a coordination center to transform battlefield technologies from initial scientific research to deployment in active zones. This collaboration establishes working teams aimed at driving technological projects, from initial research to the modernization of equipment in operational service.
Intensive Operational Testing and Integration under the 'Test in Ukraine' Framework
Airbus Defence and Space's technologies will be directly integrated into Brave1's 'Test in Ukraine' framework, allowing for intensive joint trials at the front lines and evaluations under real conditions. Operational performance data is fed directly back into the development loop to meet immediate security needs. Furthermore, Airbus Defence and Space will act as a key partner at the Lviv Defence Tech Valley summit, one of the largest defense technology events in Europe.
Brave1's First Western Strategic Partnership
This agreement represents Brave1's first industrial strategic partnership signed with a Western company, according to the terms of the press release. Brave1 celebrates its three years of building the Ukrainian defense technological ecosystem and is expanding its mission through its 'Brave Prime' initiative, focused on international industrial alliances. Iryna Zabolotna, COO of Brave1, stated that this collaboration combines 'decades of deep aeronautical expertise' from Airbus with Ukraine's 'agile and battle-proven R&D approach.' Jo Mueller, a member of the executive committee of Airbus Defence and Space, described the partnership as a recognition of Airbus's positioning as a strategic supporter of Ukraine.
