Already down 24.5% in one month, Inventiva stock slides further during the session
The Burgundy biotech company specializing in fibrotic and metabolic diseases is declining again at mid-day, just days after losing a significant portion of its rebound. The stock ranks among the weakest performers in the SBF 120, which is also retreating, and remains well below its medium-term benchmarks.
A stock trading below its three moving averages, at distance from its support level
Inventiva shares are down 2.38% to €3.07 during the session, among the steepest declines in the SBF 120, which is falling 0.9%. The stock has recovered 7.91% over a week, but still shows a 24.38% drop over one month. The price is below the 20-day moving average (gap of -6.40%), the 50-day moving average (-17.25%) and the 200-day moving average (-28.44%), a sign of a trend that has remained bearish.
Support is found at €2.77, approximately 10% below the current price, while the RSI at 40 remains in neutral territory. Inventiva posted the strongest gain in the index on Wednesday before losing nearly 12% on Thursday, a volatility that today's decline extends.
Cash position of €166.1 million ahead of Phase 3 NATiV3 results
In the first-half 2026 results published in late July, the company reported a cash position of €166.1 million as of June 30, resulting from its financing restructuring. The group recorded no revenue during the period, compared with €4.5 million a year earlier. Among the risks cited at that time was a cash runway limited to the end of the second quarter 2027 without additional financing.
Among the opportunities, the company mentioned a Tranche C of the financing transaction that could provide up to €20 million. The main results from the Phase 3 NATiV3 pivot study remain the next scientific milestone for the company. Inventiva is listed in Paris and, in the form of ADS, on the Nasdaq, where Friday's session closed with a sharp rise for the index.
