Alten stock among the strongest gains on the SBF 120, +27.5% in one month
The engineering consulting and technology company is significantly outperforming a declining Paris market, posting one of the best performances on the SBF 120 in mid-session trading. This rebound continues a particularly favorable month for the stock, which had already returned to organic growth in the first half.
A gain of nearly 3% that consolidates the stock's lead over its moving averages
Alten is trading at €77.00 in session, up 2.94% from the previous close (€74.80), while the CAC 40 loses 1% and the SBF 120 declines 0.91%. This counter-trend movement places the stock among the strongest gainers on the SBF 120, in a market environment marked by a VIX at 14.88 (down 3.69%), a sign of contained overall volatility. Over the past month, the stock has posted a jump of 27.48%, one of the most significant in its segment over this period.
On the technical indicators side, the price is well above the 20-day moving average (€75.18, with a gap of +2.42%) and is widening a gap of nearly 20% with its 50 and 200-day moving averages (both around €64). The RSI at 60 remains in neutral territory, far from the overbought extremes the stock had reached in late July, after its surge of more than 20%. The next identified resistance is at €79.80, or just over 3% above the current level.
Rebound in H1 2026 and upward revision of outlook, backdrop for renewed interest
The stock benefits from the backdrop of first-half 2026 results, published in late July, which had validated the turnaround scenario: revenues of €2,109.2 million, up 1.6% organically over six months and 3.2% in the second quarter alone, accompanied by an upward revision of the outlook for the full year. These figures had triggered a euphoric session on July 29, with a gain of more than 20%, before a 3% consolidation the following day, with the RSI then flirting with 85 in marked overbought territory. The 2.94% gain observed today is part of the digestion phase of this initial move, with the stock regaining altitude without signs of technical excess. The €79.80 resistance represents the next hurdle to overcome to extend the rally that began a month ago.
