Among the CAC 40 leaders, Accor share rebounds after hitting last place
The multi-brand hotel group bounces back during the session, following a sharp decline that had placed it at the tail of the Paris index. The movement brings the stock back toward technical levels lost the previous day, in a nearly stable Paris market.
A rebound of 1.29% that erases yesterday's decline and brings the stock above its 20-day moving average
The Accor share gains 1.29% to €45.60 and ranks among the strongest gainers in the CAC 40, while the index rises 0.22%. The stock has just reclaimed its 20-day moving average (45.35 €, a +0.55% gap) after losing this benchmark on Monday, when it fell 1.5% and closed last in the index. It remains, however, slightly below its 50-day moving average (45.97 €) and its 200-day moving average (45.90 €), within less than 1% of either.
Over one week, the stock gains 4.35%, which contrasts with a decline of nearly 7% over three months. The RSI at 47 remains neutral, far from extreme zones. Support stands at €43.70 and resistance at €47, a level the stock has not yet broken through.
A share buyback program of €225 million executed at approximately 24% by early October
On the fundamentals side, the group announced on July 30 a share buyback program worth €225 million. By October 2, approximately €54 million had been repurchased, representing nearly 24% of the envelope. Over twelve months, cumulative buybacks reach €450 million, or 4.3% of market capitalization, according to the company's declarations.
The group also published its first-half 2026 results on July 31. In a Paris market attentive to tensions over French debt, with the 10-year OAT yield at 4.86% on October 12, the stock advances more than the index, which gains 0.22%.
