Among the sharpest declines in the SBF 120, Medincell stock falls 3.5%
The Montpellier-based biopharmaceutical company is catching its breath after several sessions of rebound, in a Paris market oriented downward. The decline occurs as two brokerage firms raised their targets this week.
A decline of 3.65% that places the stock among the weakest performers in the SBF 120
Medincell stock declines by 3.65% to €25.32, while the SBF 120 loses 0.81%. The security ranks among the index's largest declines and thus drops back below the resistance level of €26.76 breached the previous day. This movement does not call into question the recent momentum: the stock still gains 5.06% over the week and remains above its three moving averages, with the 20-day moving average at €23.01 being 10% below the current price.
The RSI at 65 indicates a still bullish configuration, without an overbought zone. Over three months, however, performance remains negative at -13.58%, which leaves the weekly gain well below the quarterly decline.
Two price target increases in two days, Stifel and Portzamparc
Stifel raised its target from €33 to €36.50 on October 6, followed by Portzamparc which raised its target yesterday from €30 to €31.40 with a buy rating. According to analyst opinions, these targets stand respectively 24% and 44% above the current price. On valuation, the consensus of tracked analysts points to a P/E ratio of 506.4 times earnings for the current fiscal year, reduced to 60.3 times those of the following fiscal year. The stock trades at €25.32, just above its 200-day moving average (€24.79), which remains the benchmark to monitor following this decline.
