Among the strongest gainers in the CAC 40, Eurofins Scientific stock advances by 2%
Eurofins Scientific is posting a sharp gain in early afternoon, while the CAC 40 retreats. The laboratory analysis group also completed two portfolio operations last week.
A stock gaining 2% against the tide of a declining CAC 40
Eurofins Scientific stock gains 1.98% to €76.34, compared to €74.86 at the last close. It ranks among the strongest gainers in the CAC 40, which falls 0.61% at the same time, and the stock remains above its three moving averages. The price is 2.02% above the 20-day MA (€74.83), 5.70% above the 50-day MA and 13.91% above the 200-day MA, placing the stock in a well-oriented medium-term dynamic, with a gain of 10.06% over three months.
This rebound comes after a decline of 1.32% over the week. The RSI at 53 is neutral. The next technical resistance level is at €78.96, while support is at €70.70.
Two operations completed Friday: disposal of MET Labs and purchase of Element testing services
On October 2, Eurofins finalized the sale of MET Labs to UL Solutions, valued at €575 million on an enterprise value basis, an operation announced in April. On the same day, the group concluded the acquisition of Element's North American testing business for $400 million in enterprise value. The latter is expected to generate more than $150 million in revenue in 2026 and strengthens the group's laboratory network in the United States and Canada, regions where it describes itself as historically underrepresented.
When publishing its H1 2026 results on July 23, management said it was close to achieving its 2027 profitability target. It cited as a risk organic growth still below its normal level, and as an opportunity the expected recovery in the second half of BioPharma ancillary activities.
