Among the strongest gains in the SBF 120, Worldline stock rebounds 4.5%
The electronic payments specialist is bouncing back sharply mid-morning, in a Paris market oriented towards gains. This renewed activity comes after several weeks of marked correction, which has brought the stock to very low valuation levels.
A rebound that only makes up an infinitesimal part of the monthly decline
The Worldline stock gains 4.53% to €10.89, against €10.42 at the previous close, which places it among the strongest gains in the SBF 120, which is up 0.66%. The movement remains modest relative to accumulated losses: the stock is still down 25.13% over one month and 66.05% over one year. It had touched its lowest level in a year last week, in the wake of a correction that accelerated since mid-September.
The price remains below its three moving averages: the 20-day MA is at €12.36, or 11.88% above the current price, and the 200-day MA at €12.72, or 14.37% above. The RSI at 31 reflects this prolonged decline phase. The support at €10.42, the previous day's closing level, came back into focus after today's rebound.
A projected P/E of 3.5 and short positions declining to 2.66% of capital
On the basis of expected earnings per share, the stock is trading at approximately 3.5 times the earnings of the current fiscal year, according to the consensus of analyzed analysts, with expected EPS growth of 8.9% from one fiscal year to another. Regarding short positions, three funds account for 2.66% of capital according to the declarations consulted, compared with 3.15% thirty days ago: a decline of 0.49 percentage points that indicates a slight easing of downward pressure, without erasing the caution surrounding the stock. This decline comes after the publication of first-half results on July 30, during which the group revised down its annual growth while cutting its debt in half. The next technical level to watch is the resistance at €14.55, still some 34% away from the current price.
