ArcelorMittal Share: Already Down 20.5% in One Month, Steelmaker Continues to Decline
The steelmaker ranks among the strongest declines in the Paris index mid-morning, in a European market oriented downward. The stock is moving away from its short-term averages and extends a month of decline.
A Share Below its Moving Averages, Touching the 200-Day MA at €54.03
ArcelorMittal share loses 3.24% to €53.78, placing it among the strongest declines of the CAC 40, which falls 0.81%. The share was already weakened: it drops 20.37% over one month and 9.4% over seven days. It falls back below its support level of €55.58, then finds itself in contact with the 200-day MA (€54.03, decline of -0.46%), the only moving average it has not yet broken below. The 20-day MA and the 50-day MA are more than 12% above the price, a sign of rapid decline.
The RSI at 31 remains close to the oversold zone. Despite this decline, the share maintains a gain of 62.33% over one year. Brent, at $104.14 per barrel, advances 3.93% over the session, but the link with the steelmaker remains indirect, via energy costs.

Two brokerage houses published their opinion on Tuesday, October 6. Kepler Cheuvreux lowered its price target from €73 to €72 and remains a buyer, leaving potential of approximately 34% compared to today's price. Goldman Sachs raised its target from €48 to €54 with a neutral view, at a level very close to the current price. The analyst consensus therefore remains divided on the value. On fundamentals, the group published its first-half 2026 results on July 30, with guidance deemed confident on short, medium and long-term prospects.
Positive outlook across the near, medium and long term with robust shareholder returns and structurally higher quality earnings
