At the bottom of the CAC 40, Engie share falls 2% at mid-session

A decline that widens the gap with reference moving averages

Engie falls 2.05% to €22.97 at mid-day, while the CAC 40 retreats by 1.05%. The security ranks among the strongest declines in the index and records a 15.58% loss over three months. It now trades 2.30% below its 20-day MA and 12.09% below its 200-day MA, illustrating the scale of the move since spring.

The support at €22.52, located approximately 2% below the price, is the nearest threshold. The RSI at 46 remains neutral: the decline has not pushed the security into oversold territory, contrary to what was observed in mid-September. In a Paris market where French debt remains under pressure, with a 10-year OAT at 4.72% according to the October 6 reading, the CAC 40 and SBF 120 are declining by around 1%.

Guidance raised in July, Belgian matter postponed to November 4

During the publication of H1 2026 results on July 31, the group indicated it was raising its 2026 guidance for recurring net profit attributable to the Group. This increase has not been sufficient to halt the stock's decline in recent weeks. Regarding ongoing matters, Engie and the Belgian State have postponed to November 4 the conclusion of Heads of Terms on nuclear energy, to allow time to finalize their analyses.

This date is the group's next known milestone. Over one year, Engie share maintains a gain of 25.28%, despite a decline of 4.33% over the last month.
