Atos: Eviden Ranked Among Identity Management Leaders by KuppingerCole
In a press release published on October 8, 2026, Atos Group announced that analyst firm KuppingerCole Analysts has placed its Eviden product brand in the "Overall Leaders" category of its 2026 Leadership Compass dedicated to identity governance and administration (IGA). This is not a new strategic decision but rather an external evaluation of one of the three domains in its cybersecurity product portfolio.
Two Products Evaluated, from Access Management to Generative AI Assistant
KuppingerCole's evaluation covers two recently renamed products: Eviden Identity Governance and Administration, formerly Evidian IGA, and Eviden Orbion Access & Governance, formerly Evidian Orbion Access & Governance. The category in question groups tools that help organizations manage identity lifecycle, access governance and identity analytics.
According to the report, Eviden combines "broad and mature" IGA functionalities with innovation capabilities deemed "solid". The firm notes flexible deployment models, integrated analytics tools, adaptive authentication, a workflow engine based on the BPMN standard, on-demand provisioning and governance of human and non-human identities.
The press release also indicates that the Eviden Orbion Access & Governance offering integrates an assistant based on generative AI, designed to help administrators simplify their governance and operational tasks through natural language exchanges.
Continuous Governance Across Cloud, On-Premises and Hybrid Models
Antoine Grenier, global head of Eviden cybersecurity products, stated that this distinction reflects the brand's emphasis on identity and access governance conducted "with consistency, flexibility and control". He specified that Eviden's approach consists of supporting continuous governance in the cloud, on-premises and in hybrid mode, while remaining aligned with customers' security and operational requirements.
These products fall under the cybersecurity business marketed under the Eviden brand, which is organized around three areas: data encryption, identity and access management, and digital identity. According to the group, these products are developed and manufactured in Europe.
Atos Group distinguishes this product business from its cybersecurity services, offered under the Atos brand. The group claims more than 6,500 experts and 205 cybersecurity patents, as well as a network of 17 security operations centers (SOCs).
