Atos Group Stock Rebounds by 2.5% Despite Extreme Oversold RSI
The stock rebound occurs in a context rich with corporate news, with a partnership announced this morning in railway communications and several recent contracts that outline a commercial recovery strategy. However, the downward pressure accumulated over several months remains very present, as evidenced by technical indicators in oversold territory.
A Railway Partnership Today and an Avalanche of Recent Contracts for Eviden
The Atos Group stock gains 2.55% to €24.10 in trading, ranking among the strongest gains in the SBF 120 index, which is up slightly by 0.19%. This rebound coincides with the announcement this morning of a partnership between Eviden and AllWayTon Technology, covering a triple-mode FRMCS/5G/GSM-R smartphone for railway operators, capable of operating on both existing GSM-R networks and the new FRMCS standard. Beyond today's announcement, Atos had multiplied contracts in recent weeks: the status of sovereign cloud partner for SAP obtained on September 16, the opening of a cybersecurity center in Dubai, and the two cloud computing contracts won with Open and Thales for UGAP, for a period of four years. These successive announcements are part of a commercial repositioning effort, as during the publication of the first half of 2026 (July 30, 2026), the group guided towards organic revenue growth of approximately -5% and an operating margin close to 7%, objectives communicated in a cautious tone.
An RSI in Extreme Oversold Territory and Short Sellers Who Have Doubled Their Bets in One Month
The technical configuration of Atos Group remains under strong pressure despite today's rebound. The stock is trading at €24.10, well below its 20-day moving average at €26.48 (a gap of nearly 9%), its 50-day moving average at €28.94, and its 200-day moving average at €38.47, which stands more than 37% above the current price. The RSI at 22 signals an extreme oversold configuration, consistent with a decline of 17% over the past month and more than 30% over three months. Today's rebound only offsets a fraction of these accumulated losses.
On the side of speculative downside positions, according to disclosed filings, four funds cumulate 3% of capital sold short, representing a progression of 1.30 percentage points in thirty days (compared to 1.70% a month ago). This notable acceleration reflects a rise in institutional downward pressure on the stock, without it being possible to know the precise motivations. The support level at €23.50 remains the immediate reference to monitor if today's upward movement were to lose momentum.
