Banimmo sells its Networks Gent Atmos campus to HOGENT and plans to reduce its debt ratio
The notarial deed of sale was signed on October 14, 2026, according to regulated information published the same day by the Brussels real estate developer. According to its Chief Executive Officer, Laurent Calonne, the transaction will make a positive contribution to the 2026 financial year results and will further reduce the group's debt ratio "considerably".
A 16,000 m² campus delivered in February and taken over by HOGENT
The transaction concerns the Networks Gent Atmos complex, located on The Loop site in Ghent. It is a campus of approximately 16,000 m² of floor space with parking, composed of five buildings: Tropos, Mesos, Stratos, Exos and Ionos. The project was delivered on February 9, 2026; it has BREEAM Outstanding certification and is aligned with the European taxonomy.
The buyer, the educational institution HOGENT, will establish part of its teaching activities there. Its management and computer science programs as well as its E-lab dedicated to entrepreneurship are to be located there, and the site will eventually be able to accommodate 5,000 students. According to Banimmo, this addition completes the existing Networks campus concept, designed as a workplace for spin-offs and research companies.
Following the Farys headquarters in April, another operation on The Loop
Banimmo has already developed several buildings on this site: offices for Deloitte and the Vlaamse Milieumaatschappij (VMM), then, in 2021, the Networks Gent One and Two buildings. In 2026, the developer also developed the new headquarters of the water distribution company Farys, comprising 10,318 m² of offices, laboratories and storage spaces on Veld 5 Oost, with the deed signed on April 29, 2026.
For Laurent Calonne, the expected impact of the sale of Networks Gent Atmos on results and debt represents "a solid foundation for our future developments".
Retail, hotel and housing under study on neighboring parcels
Banimmo, which presents itself as the leading real estate player on the site, indicates it is continuing its investments on The Loop. Current projects include studies for a retail complex of 22,000 m² and a hotel project of 5,000 m² on Veld 12 Oost.
The company is also participating in the development of a planning and visual quality plan for Veld 11, with a primarily residential purpose, where 300 to 400 housing units could be planned. Listed on Euronext since 2007, Banimmo indicates it has development potential of approximately 280,000 m² of floor space.
