Beneteau stock falls to €5.43, lowest level since Covid crash
The Vendée-based shipbuilder touched in intraday trading a level it had not reached since the collapse linked to the 2020 health crisis, in a context of an almost stable Paris market. The security remains caught between a severe underlying trend and an RSI in extreme oversold territory that has persisted for several weeks.
An absolute floor since Covid tested in intraday trading
Beneteau touched €5.43 during intraday trading on Thursday, breaking the previous absolute floor since Covid of €5.46 and thus marking a low not seen in over six years. This movement extends a profound deterioration: the security is down 4.74% over the week and 18.25% over three months.
The previous day, during the September 9 session, the price had already broken through this support to a low of €5.46 before rising back above it (closing at €5.49). This return below the Covid crash level marks a new stage in the decline that began well before summer: the loss reaches 34% over one year. The CAC 40 and SBF 120 are progressing slightly in intraday trading (respectively +0.13% and +0.17%), which underscores the specific weakness of the security.
Three moving averages well above the price, RSI in extreme oversold
The technical configuration is deteriorated across all timeframes. The price is below the 20-day MA at €5.92 (gap of -7.09%), the 50-day MA at €6.03 (-8.79%) and the 200-day MA at €7.07 (-22.21%): all three exert structural downward pressure. The RSI at 25 signals an extreme oversold zone, consistent with the progressive capitulation observed over recent months. This configuration had already been noted during the previous support breakdowns throughout the summer.
In parallel, the group presented at the Cannes Yachting Festival on September 8 a program of 66 launches over 2025-2027, with the extension of the NEO refit program to three brands. In its Q1 2026 publication (May 4, 2026), the group also mentioned a slowdown in order intake and longer purchasing decisions, factors that continue to weigh. The resistance at €6.21 remains more than 13% above the current price.
