Best performer of the SBF 120, Mersen stock advances nearly 4%
The specialist in carbon materials and electrical solutions stands out sharply this Wednesday in a well-oriented Paris market. The stock resumes its path to resistance after a hesitant week.
A rebound that places Mersen ahead of the entire SBF 120
Quoted at €41.90, Mersen stock advances 3.97% during the session, the strongest gain in the SBF 120, while the index rises 0.58% and the CAC 40 gains 0.57%. This rebound partially erases the 3.28% decline of the week and extends a very bullish year, up 64.31% over twelve months. From a sectoral and macroeconomic perspective, the session takes place in a VIX at 15.18 and under the scrutiny of a 2027 budget debated in the Assembly, with a 10-year OAT at 4.86% on October 12.
The price remains above its moving averages, €1.4 away from its resistance
The stock is trading above its 20-day MA (€40.59, a 3.23% gap) and its 50-day MA (€39.57, a 5.89% gap), a cushion that widens significantly against the 200-day MA (€33.48). Resistance at €43.32 is just over 3% away from the current price: the stock had approached it in early October after breaking through €42. From a fundamental perspective, the company had published its first-half 2026 results on August 3, with revenue targeted at €1,260M for the following period. The next technical benchmark to monitor remains this resistance at €43.32.
