Biophytis shares fall below €0.03 and slump over one week into oversold territory
The Paris-based biotech's shares fall sharply in mid-afternoon trading and drop back below a floor they had held over recent weeks. This decline comes just as the company has published its half-year financial statements and detailed its financing position.
A support broken intraday, below all moving averages
Biophytis shares lose 5.19% to €0.0292, compared with €0.0308 at the previous close, and are down 13.58% over one week. During the session, the stock broke through its lowest level of the last 30 sessions, around €0.03, a level that has now become resistance.
The share price is trading below its three moving averages, 27% away from the MM20 and the MM200, and 41.6% away from the MM50, while the RSI at 27 signals an oversold configuration.
Yet the session takes place in a rising Parisian market, with the CAC 40 gaining 0.31% and the SBF 120 gaining 0.27%. Over three months, the stock nonetheless shows a gain of 367.2%, but it has shed 71.52% over one year.
Half-year accounts and cash position announced through 2028
In its press release of October 30, Biophytis reported a 38% reduction in its loss for the first half of 2026. Consolidated cash stood at only €268 thousand as of June 30, following a €1.5 million consumption linked to operating activities over the period.
Financing completed over the summer has changed the picture: the company had €8.9 million in cash as of September 11, enough to fund its operations until the first quarter of 2028 according to its estimates. This €5.3 million raise, finalized in mid-September, is intended to finance the phase 2 trial in obesity.
In the same press release, the group specifies that its outlook remains contingent on the effective mobilization of the planned financing and on clinical results.
