Biophytis Stock Soars 8% and Posts +305% in Three Months
The Paris-based biotech company is delivering consecutive bullish sessions, driven by a rare upward momentum for a small biotechnology stock. The security is now trading clearly above its key moving averages, in a nearly stable Paris market this Tuesday.
An 8% Jump in Trading That Extends an Exceptional Quarter for the Biotech
Biophytis gains 8% during trading, at €0.0756, while the CAC 40 remains practically flat (-0.02%). The performance over the last three months is striking: +304.8%. Over the week, the security is already up +31.67%, placing this rebound within a fundamental dynamic that has been underway since summer. This progression is supported by several key developments that have occurred in recent weeks.
At the end of August, the company had announced its financial situation: cash reserves of €3 million and debt reduction of over 30%, with financial visibility guaranteed until the first quarter of 2027. Earlier, in August, Brazil's health authority ANVISA had given the green light for the launch of the OBA phase 2 trial in obesity, complementing the authorizations already obtained in the United States and Europe. These two catalysts contributed to revaluing a security that nonetheless remains down 55.93% over one year, a sign that the path remains long before a return to 2025 levels.
A Technical Configuration Stretched Between Moving Averages and Resistance at €0.13
On the technical indicators side, Biophytis is trading above its three moving averages. The price exceeds the 20-day MA (€0.07) by 8%, while the gap with the 50-day and 200-day MAs (both at €0.04) reaches approximately 89%. These unusual gaps, combined with monthly volatility of 47.53, reflect the speculative nature of this type of security and the concentration of the rebound over a short period.
The RSI at 54 remains in neutral territory, with no overbought signal, which leaves room before the configuration becomes excessive. The resistance identified at €0.13 represents the next threshold to watch, representing a gap of approximately 72% from the current price. The reference support sits at €0.02, far below, which illustrates the magnitude of the rebound achieved from the lows.
