Bouygues share approaches its support at €40.26 and erases Friday's rebound
The construction, telecommunications and media group is losing ground in a very negative Paris session. The decline comes after a weekend of violence in several French cities, and the stock has just approached a technical threshold that has held for several weeks.
A share below its three moving averages, at the level of its support
The Bouygues share is down 2.24% to €40.58 during the session, with a last close at €41.51. The price is approaching its support level at €40.26, less than 1% away, while it is already 2.5% below its 20-day moving average and 15.2% below its 200-day moving average. Over one month, the decline reaches 6.46%, and the share has fallen 15.07% over three months.
The RSI at 42.63 remains neutral: the movement does not yet take the form of a capitulation. Friday's rebound, fueled by an analyst's opinion, is thus erased in a single session. In the CAC 40 rankings, the share is among the declining values, without being among the hardest hit: Stellantis (-4.38%) and Société Générale (-3.52%) are leading the decline.
CAC 40 down 1.4% and French bond yields under pressure
The CAC 40 is down 1.38% to 7,847.25 points and the SBF 120 is down 1.37%, against a backdrop of weekend violence in several French cities. Bond markets remain under pressure: the ten-year OAT is at 4.85%, a level close to its recent peak of 4.90% reached on October 1st, with a 1.42 point spread over the German Bund. The two other major French construction names are declining in similar proportions: Vinci is down 1.94% and Eiffage 2.47%, after declines of 4.38% and 7.38% respectively over one month.
On the results front, Bouygues confirmed on July 30th, with its first-half 2026 accounts, that it aims for stability in its revenue at constant exchange rates for the full year. The level of €40.26 is the technical threshold to monitor in the short term for the share.
