Crédit Agricole Expands Partnership with Odysséa to Nine Cities in 2027
The partnership, renewed for 2027, will be extended to nine cities compared to seven currently, following a 2026 edition that mobilized more than 3,000 group employees. Beyond Odysséa, the October 6, 2026 press release serves as a reminder of the actions already undertaken by Crédit Agricole entities against cancer.
An Expansion Designed to Broaden Employee Participation
Odysséa is a French charitable association that fights breast cancer through solidarity races and walks. Crédit Agricole is its official partner. In 2026, the mobilization of group employees concerned mainland France, Réunion and Guadeloupe, including 2,300 participants in Paris.
The expansion to nine cities in 2027 is intended, according to the group, to enable "an even greater number of employees to mobilize alongside the association and contribute to funding cancer research". Crédit Agricole presents this action as a component of a "broader and long-term initiative" in favor of research, medical innovation, prevention and patient support.
Research, Screening and Borrower Insurance: Actions Recalled
On the research front, Crédit Agricole S.A. supports Gustave Roussy in the development of the OASIS project, which aims to better understand the mechanisms of resistance to treatments. Crédit Agricole CIB and LCL support the "50 Shades of Pink" program, which aims to offer patients customized treatment that limits side effects. Crédit Agricole Assurances supports the Curie Institute in its work on cancers affecting young women, while the LCL Foundation supports the Princesse Margot association, which works with children hospitalized at the Gustave Roussy Institute and their families.
In the territories, Medicalib Prévention (a subsidiary of Crédit Agricole Santé & Territoires) conducts awareness and screening actions for female cancers within companies. Crédit Agricole Alpes Provence has supported the REBOND program, led by the Paoli-Calmettes Institute and Aix-Marseille University, for seven years, and has contributed through its local branches to the acquisition of a particle accelerator coupled with an MRI for Assistance Publique-Hôpitaux de Marseille, intended for the treatment of pediatric cancers. In Creuse, two group foundations financed a mammograph for the La Souterraine hospital center.
On the client side, Crédit Agricole Assurances recently announced measures allowing people affected by breast, prostate or testicular cancer to benefit, under certain conditions, from borrower insurance without surcharge or exclusion. Internally, awareness and training schemes are offered to managers to promote job retention for employees affected by illness.
