CTP launches its first logistics park in Italy, near Piacenza, spanning 200,000 m²
In a press release published on October 14, 2026, logistics real estate company CTP presented this launch as one of the achievements of its one-billion-euro investment plan being rolled out in Italy over the next five years. The site is expected to reach a total area of approximately 200,000 m².
Two bespoke buildings, including one of 113,000 m² for the luxury sector
Named CTPark Castel San Giovanni, the park is the first to bear the CTP brand in Italy. Its launch follows the completion of a 52,000 m² building constructed to specification for an international logistics operator, whose name is not disclosed.
CTP is also developing a second bespoke building of 113,000 m² intended for a luxury sector client. The group views this as a sign of the site's growing importance as a logistics destination and of occupant demand in this area.
The park is located in the province of Piacenza, southeast of Milan, one of the most established logistics hubs in northern Italy. It is positioned near major motorway routes and the markets of Lombardy, Piedmont, Emilia-Romagna, and Liguria. The spaces are developed according to Category A standards and are presented as energy-efficient.
A national network targeted following the acquisition of VLD for €241 million
CTP entered the Italian market last year by acquiring VLD S.r.l. for 241 million euros, a development company holding a land reserve in locations considered prime. The project exemplifies the group's "developer-owner" model: buildings are designed according to clients' operational needs, then retained and managed by CTP over the long term.
"The launch of CTPark Castel San Giovanni is an important milestone for CTP in Italy," declared Agostino Emanuele, General Manager of CTP Italy. According to him, it demonstrates that the group is achieving the objective set when it entered the country nearly a year ago: to develop and operate logistics assets tailored to its clients' needs.
Other projects are in CTP's pipeline in northern Italy: CTPark Alessandria, CTPark Novara Sant'Agabio, and CTPark Padova Vescovana. The group recently opened an office in Rome and plans to expand to central and southern Italy, with the stated aim of establishing a logistics platform at the national scale.
