CTT launches Crypto Stamp Hades, a blockchain-linked stamp at €9.99
The Portuguese postal group continues its digital philately project by combining a physical stamp with an asset registered on blockchain. This new issuance is part of a joint European collection dedicated to Greek mythology.
A joint European issuance on Greek mythology
CTT (Correios de Portugal) launched the second Portuguese edition of the Crypto Stamp on September 24, 2026, integrated into the joint international issuance developed in partnership with Austria, Belgium and the Netherlands.
Themed around Greek mythology, the national issuance is inspired by Hades, the god of the underworld, depicted alongside his black horses. Each of the four postal administrations is dedicated to a character: Österreichische Post presents Perseus and Eos, bpost pays tribute to Heracles and PostNL highlights Demeter.
This new edition follows the project launched in 2025.
A physical stamp combined with a digital asset on blockchain
The Crypto Stamp Hades combines a physical stamp with a digital asset registered on blockchain, guaranteeing according to CTT authenticity, traceability and exclusivity.
The group presents this approach as a philately combining tradition and innovation, aiming to bring collecting closer to new audiences through the combination of art, culture and technology.
With a face value of €9.99, the Crypto Stamp Hades is available in CTT shops and outlets, on the online store and via the philately service.
