CVC Credit finances Peak Rock Capital's acquisition of Dalziel with senior debt
The private assets manager has provided senior debt financing to support the takeover of the Scottish food ingredients distributor. The transaction is carried out through its European Direct Lending strategy.
Senior debt facilities for the acquisition of Dalziel
CVC Credit announced on September 25, 2026 that it has agreed to provide senior debt facilities to support the acquisition of Dalziel by Peak Rock Capital.
Dalziel is presented as a British distributor and manufacturer of flavourings, seasonings and other food ingredients. Founded in 1926 and based in Bellshill, Scotland, the company is a B2B distributor of internally formulated ingredients and third-party products, primarily serving the fresh and processed meat markets.
According to the statement, Dalziel supplies more than 1,000 industrial processors and 5,000 retail butchers, through a national network of four production sites and sixteen distribution depots.
The company's offering combines custom blending capabilities and new product development with extensive storage, flexible order sizes and same-day or next-day delivery.
A strategy focused on established and secured businesses
The investment was made through CVC Credit's European Direct Lending strategy. This focuses on lending to established, medium to large-sized European companies backed by leading Private Equity sponsors, with priority given to the secured senior portion of the capital structure.
Moris Nachmias, Managing Director within CVC's Private Credit team, described Dalziel as a stable business with a leading market position in a niche segment, supported by a scaled production and distribution network, long-standing customer relationships and a track record of steady growth and cash generation.
Andrew Davies, head of CVC Credit, indicated that Dalziel operates in a resilient market and that this type of established, cash-generative business matches the profile sought by the European Direct Lending strategy. He added that the group's experience in the food ingredients sector, through its Liquid, Private Credit and Private Equity strategies, supported its due diligence work.
A €10.4 billion fundraise for European Direct Lending
This transaction is a continuation of CVC Credit's activity in its European Direct Lending segment. On October 2, 2025, the group indicated that it had raised €10.4 billion for this strategy.
In recent months, CVC Credit has multiplied financing through its various strategies, notably in support of acquisitions led by Private Equity sponsors.
