Cybersecurity: Jules, a brand of the Mulliez family, chooses Ekinops' solution
Jules, the menswear retailer owned by the Mulliez Family Association, has replaced its web security solution with Ekinops' cybersecurity offering, according to a press release published on October 8, 2026.
For Ekinops, better known for its optical networks, the reference concerns its security portfolio intended for businesses. It involves a retailer based in Roubaix that employs 2,800 employees and operates more than 350 stores.
Secure web gateway, DNS and CASB progressively deployed
Jules has selected Ekinops' cybersecurity solution, which still bore the name Olfeo at the time of selection. The retailer was seeking a replacement solution offering greater visibility over Internet usage, simplified management of filtering policies and improved protection of employees against web risks.
The selected solution combines several components of the Olfeo SSE (Security Service Edge) offering: a secure web gateway (SWG), a DNS (Domain Name System) service installed on-site and a CASB (Cloud Access Security Broker), which governs access to hosted services.
The deployment is progressive. The target scope notably includes headquarters usage as well as store environments.
Integration, filtering and French origin among selection criteria
Jules based its decision on the solution's performance, its simplicity of integration into the existing information system and the facilitated transition of filtering rules already in place. The quality of site categorization and the clarity of dashboards for monitoring usage, blockages and risks were also influential factors.
Ekinops' status as a French publisher constituted an important criterion, given the stakes of sovereignty, proximity and compliance with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).
"With Ekinops' Olfeo SSE (Security Service Edge) solutions, we are choosing a French solution that fully meets our security, compliance, visibility and control requirements for all of our employees and sites," declared Michael Lens, Head of Operational Security at Jules.
Support ensured from pre-sales to operations
Ekinops teams supported Jules' teams in building their capabilities, with a dedicated contact, regular monitoring and continuous optimization of usage. According to the press release, the retailer now has simplified administration and actionable dashboards for IT, security and management teams, including for employees working remotely.
"This project illustrates Ekinops' ability to address the concrete challenges of multi-site businesses, secure web access, simplify daily operations and provide immediately actionable operational visibility," commented Frédéric Napoléone, Head of Cybersecurity Sales at Ekinops.
