Delfingen returns to growth in the third quarter: revenue up 5%
Delfingen published revenue of €100.0 million for the third quarter on 2 November 2026, up 5.0% at constant exchange rates. This quarter follows declines of 11.7% in the first quarter and 4.8% in the second.
Over the first nine months, activity remains down 1.5% at constant exchange rates, at €297.2 million.
The Industrial market first explains this change in trend, with growth of 17.0% at constant exchange rates over the quarter. The Automotive market, which accounts for the bulk of sales, returned to growth of 1.9%. The specialist in the protection of electrical wiring, based in Anteuil, also confirmed its objectives for 2026.
The third quarter reverses the trend of the first nine months
On a reported basis, quarterly revenue rises 4.7%, with an unfavourable currency effect of 0.3% linked to the euro-dollar exchange rate. It came in slightly above the analysts' consensus, which expected €98 million for the period.
Over nine months, the gap between reported and constant-currency data is more pronounced. The decline reaches 4.3% on a reported basis, including an unfavourable currency effect of 2.8%, compared with 1.5% at constant exchange rates. At its half-year results announcement on 14 September 2026, the group reported a decline of 8.4% on a reported basis for the half-year.
The cumulative figure also reflects the termination of non-contributive contracts in the technical tube assembly business, decided as part of the IMPULSE 2026 strategic plan. Adjusted for this effect, activity is stable at constant exchange rates over the first nine months, according to the company.
Industrial accelerates, Automotive recovers despite a decline in global production
The Industrial market generated €23.2 million in revenue in the third quarter, up 17.0% at constant exchange rates and 18.2% on a reported basis. It accounts for 23% of the group's sales. The company specifies that this quarter benefits from a favourable base effect.
This market notably covers robotics, data centres, energy management and storage, and rail. Over nine months, its sales reach €66.4 million, up 7.8% at constant exchange rates, making it the only market growing on a cumulative basis.
Automotive generated €76.8 million over the quarter, up 1.9% at constant exchange rates (1.2% on a reported basis). This increase comes while global production fell 1.6%, according to the S&P Mobility estimate cited by the group. Over nine months, this market remains down 3.9% at constant exchange rates, at €230.8 million.
All regions grow, 2026 targets confirmed
Asia shows the strongest growth: €16.3 million, up 15.5% at constant exchange rates (11.3% on a reported basis), driven mainly by India, up 38.6%. According to the group, China remains marked by a slowdown in domestic automotive demand and increasing competitive pressure.
The Americas grew 9.9% at constant exchange rates, to €38.0 million, with the return to growth of Automotive and Industrial markets, which account for one third of sales in the region. Europe-Africa, the largest region with €45.7 million, is up 0.3% at constant exchange rates (down 1.1% on a reported basis).
Within Europe-Africa, North Africa stands out, with increases of 11.0% in Morocco and 8.2% in Tunisia. India and North Africa were already among the growth areas cited by the group in September.
CEO Gérald Streit linked this quarter to the choice of “prioritising value over volume”, and the group confirmed all of its 2026 objectives.
The quarter's recovery rests mainly on Industrial and on Asia and the Americas, while Automotive and Europe-Africa, which form the core of the business, only returned to growth close to stability.
