Down 4% in a month, Imerys share advances 2% during trading session
The industrial minerals specialist rebounds during the session in a well-oriented Paris market. This renewed momentum comes after several weeks of decline and places the stock back in front of a first short-term reference point. The security also ranks among the strong gains in the mid-cap index.
A rebound that brings the share back to its 20-day moving average at €22.41
The Imerys share gains 2.18% to €22.46, while the SBF 120 advances 0.61% during the session. The security thus rises close to its 20-day moving average (€22.41), after remaining below it for several weeks. This renewed momentum partially offsets the 4.18% decline recorded over one month, a movement that the rebound observed on October 9 had already sketched out.
The RSI at 39 remains in a neutral-low zone, and the support at €21.92 sits just over 2% below the current price. More distant reference points remain above: the 200-day moving average is at €23.06 (2.6% above the current price according to the pre-calculated spread) and the 50-day moving average at €23.37. The security ranks among the strongest gains of the SBF 120 during the session, with a gain of 2.18%.
2026 targets published with the half-year results, accounts to monitor
When publishing the first half of 2026 results on July 30, the group had communicated an EBITDA target of €565 million for the remainder of the financial year. This quantified benchmark remains the main fundamental support point for the file, following a quarter in which the security evolved mainly to the rhythm of market movements. The construction sector, however, remains under pressure: the business climate indicator in the building sector came in at -17.2 in France in September, while sector production declined 5% year-on-year.
These Eurostat and INSEE figures describe the environment for Imerys outlets and do not explain today's rebound. The level to monitor going forward remains the 50-day moving average, at €23.37.
