Drone Volt: Firm Agreement to Resell Azur Drones to Tonner Drones
Drone Volt has signed a firm agreement for the resale to Tonner Drones of the entire share capital of the new company Azur Drones, whose assets it had just acquired. The transaction remains subject to approval by the judicial representative of the former Azur Drones.
Acquisition and Subsequent Resale of Azur Drones Assets
During the summer of 2026, Drone Volt (via its 100% indirect subsidiary InAirTech) was appointed by the Bordeaux Commercial Court as the buyer of all industrial and operational assets of Azur Drones, a supplier of autonomous surveillance drones based in Mérignac (Gironde) for civil and military applications.
To this end, InAirTech created a new company Azur Drones, held indirectly 100% by Drone Volt, intended to acquire these assets in accordance with the court's decision.
On August 27, 2026, Drone Volt announced, through InAirTech, the signature of a firm agreement protocol with Tonner Drones concerning the transfer of the entire stake held in this new company. Tonner Drones will carry out this acquisition through a dedicated subsidiary.
Distribution of Commercial Rights and Industrial Synergies
Drone Volt and Tonner Drones have agreed to conclude a commercial and strategic agreement concerning the autonomous surveillance system "Drone in a Box", previously marketed under the Skeyetech brand.
According to the agreement, Drone Volt obtains exclusive commercial rights to exploit Azur Drones assets worldwide, with the exception of Europe, targeting the civil sector. The new Azur Drones company will continue to serve its customers exclusively in Europe, manage existing projects and develop its activities in the defense sector.
The partnership provides for industrial synergies: the new Azur Drones company will supply Drone Volt with "Drone in a Box" stations, while Drone Volt will supply it with its tactical drones of the KOBRA type. The KOBRA drone, equipped with a nano-computer compatible with artificial intelligence and LIDAR sensors, will be integrated into the overall system.
Conditional Transfer and Market Prospects
The transfer of the new Azur Drones company to Tonner Drones is subject to approval by the judicial representative appointed for the former company.
The "Drone in a Box" system claims more than 62,000 autonomous flights under BVLOS conditions (beyond visual line of sight), deployed and operational in 11 countries. Drone Volt estimates the global market for "drones in a box" at more than one billion euros in 2026, with a projection beyond 6 billion euros by 2034, representing average annual growth close to 20%, according to market data cited in the press release.
The group's next publication will focus on half-year results, scheduled for September 16, 2026.
