Edenred stock rebounds and defends its 26.84 € support level
In a Paris market that is holding up this Friday despite pressure on French sovereign debt, Edenred stock stands out clearly in the SBF 120. The shares of the employee benefits and payment solutions specialist are bouncing back sharply, while the CAC 40 gains just under 1% during the session.
A 2.65% rebound that brings the stock near its support level and tests its moving averages
Edenred gains 2.65% during the session at 27.55 €, after closing at 26.84 € the previous day. This level corresponds exactly to the support threshold identified at 26.84 €, which the stock has therefore defended before rebounding. However, the price remains below the 20-day moving average at 28.34 € (gap of -2.79%) and the 50-day moving average at 28.59 € (gap of -3.64%), two levels that act as immediate short-term resistances.
Conversely, the stock maintains a very comfortable cushion above its 200-day moving average at 22.24 €, representing a positive gap of nearly 24%. The RSI at 37 reflects a configuration close to oversold conditions, consistent with the 8.17% decline recorded over one month. The resistance level to monitor in case the rebound continues is set at 30.53 €, still 10.8% above the current price.
A quarterly rebound of over 22% backed by raised guidance for the first half
Over three months, the stock shows a gain of 22.34%, one of the strongest in the SBF 120 over this timeframe. This momentum follows the publication of first-half 2026 results on July 23, when the group raised its EBITDA forecast for the fiscal year to 1,250 million euros, with an explicitly confident tone on its outlook. Management had then praised double-digit growth in the Mobility business and the increase in new SME client signings, up more than 10% over the period.
Among the risks cited is the impact of regulatory changes on meal vouchers in Italy and Brazil, two markets that remain sensitive. Over one year, the stock still gains 34.85%, illustrating the extent of the recovery that has taken place since the lows of early 2026. This underlying context contrasts with the macro pressure of the day: the French 10-year OAT reaches 4.90% (as of October 1st), its highest level since 2004, in a context of tense budget debate, but Edenred is holding up better during the session than the broader index.
