Ekinops and Proximus Wholesale Launch NaaS Offering in Belgium
Ekinops and Proximus Wholesale are launching a new generation of virtualized network services (NaaS) in Belgium on Monday, based on Proximus' high-speed infrastructure and Ekinops' software technologies. This collaboration is part of the strategic ONE portfolio of Proximus Wholesale.
A Partnership for Network Services Virtualization
Ekinops, a provider of optical transport, connectivity, and SASE cybersecurity solutions, announces the launch of a new Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) offering in Belgium in collaboration with Proximus Wholesale, the wholesale telecom services subsidiary of Proximus Group.
This initiative leverages Proximus' high-speed infrastructure and combines the group's reliable national connectivity with Ekinops' advanced software technologies. The core of the partnership is based on ONE (Open Network Ecosystem), the new product portfolio of Proximus Wholesale.
Software Architecture and Service Orchestration
The ONE ecosystem incorporates universal customer premises equipment (uCPE), the OneOS6-LIM virtualization solution layer, and the OneManage system dedicated to automated service orchestration.
The portfolio enables partners to activate services remotely through a secure marketplace of virtualized network functions (VNF), covering routing, security, SD-WAN, and voice solutions. By replacing dedicated hardware equipment with virtualized solutions hosted on a single uCPE, wholesale partners gain agility and reduce service provisioning times.
The software approach provides bandwidth on demand, automated provisioning, and remote updates without physical intervention on-site. This solution reduces installation times and accelerates the deployment of new services.
